What is Present continuous passive?
Travel discourse explores journey experiences, transport networks, and itineraries while reinforcing the Present Continuous Passive voice. The Present Continuous Passive structure ('subject + is/are + being + past participle') is used when describing an action currently unfolding where the agent is unknown, obvious, or less important than the recipient (e.g., 'The departures board is being updated', 'Luggage is being inspected'). The unit also develops affixation rules (prefixes like un-, im-, and suffixes like -tion, -ment) to expand travel and hospitality vocabulary.

- Passive Auxiliary Structure: Avoiding the frequent error of substituting 'been' for 'being' in continuous passive forms (e.g., writing 'is being cleaned' rather than 'is been cleaned').
- Voice Transformation: Accurately converting active travel narratives into passive structures without altering temporal tense or intended meaning.
- Lexical Affixation: Applying correct prefixes and suffixes to base words in gap-filling vocabulary tests (e.g., comfort -> uncomfortable; depart -> departure).
