What is Data Representation and Interpretation?
Data representation and interpretation is the process of organizing, displaying, and drawing conclusions from numerical information. In Grade 11, we focus on three main graphical representations: stem-and-leaf diagrams, bar charts (including multiple bar charts and component bar charts), and pie charts. Each representation serves a specific purpose and reveals different features of the data. Data Types Discrete data: Data that can only take specific, separate values (e.g., number of students in a class, shoe sizes). Usually counted. Continuous data: Data that can take any value within a range (e.g., height, weight, time). Usually measured. Stem-and-Leaf Diagram
