A. Fluid Flow and Continuity Equation Definition: The principle that for an incompressible fluid flowing through a pipe of varying cross-sectional area, the volume flow rate remains constant. Explanation: This concept states that when a fluid flows steadily through a pipe, the product of the cross-sectional area and the fluid velocity at any point along the pipe remains constant. This means that where the pipe is narrow, the fluid flows faster, and where the pipe is wide, the fluid flows slower. This principle is based on the conservation of mass and assumes the fluid is incompressible (density doesn't change) and flows without any accumulation or loss along the pipe. It's fundamental for understanding how fluids behave in pipes, blood vessels, and various engineering systems.
